Ride forward and do weight training
Unlike any other form of riding, climbing tends to suit lean people. But it doesn’t mean that you don’t climb when you have a little bit of weight (especially in off-seasons). Whatever it takes you should climb those slopes near you. When you lose weight, even just 3 pounds, you will see a significant improvement in your riding, because you will only need to move less weight with the same power.
